Who builds this
Built by an independent editor with a decade of experience in advertising, where I've managed celebrity and influencer campaigns first-hand.
What I learned from inside the industry: most "celebrity favorite product" content online is paid placement disguised as recommendation. Brand ambassadorships, gifted boxes, "as-told-to" articles that came from a press kit.
Celeb Sourced is the archive I wished existed while I was inside the industry. Every claim is traced to a primary source — an on-camera interview, a candid sighting, or the celebrity's own social media post. Paid ambassador deals (HERA × Jennie, Lancôme × Zendaya, L'Oréal × Camila Cabello, etc.) are explicitly excluded. The site exists to draw the line that the rest of the beauty internet has stopped drawing.
I run other independent media properties under separate names; this one operates editorially independent from any of them.
What makes this different
Three commitments enforce the difference, every entry, every page:
- Primary-source verification — every product mention is backed by an on-camera quote, candid sighting, or unsponsored social post. Methodology →
- Ambassador exclusion — paid endorsement deals are never listed as "products the celebrity uses." We distinguish what celebrities actually use from what they're paid to advertise.
- Brand-confirmed, SKU-not-confirmed labeling — when a celebrity names a brand but not a specific product, the listing makes that gap explicit instead of guessing.
What's at stake
This is a beauty editorial site. Beauty content sits adjacent to health and personal-finance information (people change skincare routines based on it; people spend money based on it). Google calls this category YMYL — "your money or your life." The standard expected of YMYL content is higher than blog ramblings, and we built Celeb Sourced to that standard from day one.
How it makes money
Amazon Associates affiliate commissions. When you click an "Amazon US" link and purchase, we earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. The price you pay is exactly the same. Inclusion of any product is editorial — based on whether a celebrity has demonstrably used it — not based on commission potential. See Affiliate Disclosure.
Trust this site, but verify
Don't take our word for it. Every claim has a citation link — click "Watch the source" on any entry and you go straight to the moment in the source video, article, or post where the product was named. If you spot an error, email us and we'll fix it.
